City of Johnstown & Johnston Redevelopment Authority – Starting late February of 2020 and into the spring of 2021, Terra Works, Inc. will be installing 4,500 feet of sanitary sewer lateral piping and 2,465 feet of pipe to connect to the Johnstown Redevelopment Authority interceptor system.  Along with the City contract, we will be installing 6,400 feet of gravity sewer, 275 feet of sewer installed by boring; and 1,750 feet of sewer rehabilitation.

  • The project will reduce wet weather overflows of raw sewage into Little Conemaugh River and help satisfy the Consent Order and Agreement with the Department of Environmental Protection. The interceptor improvements will continue to accept flows from Lower Yoder Township, Westmont Borough, and the City of Johnstown.
  • This project will create delays for motorist and pedestrians on Fairfield Ave. D Street Extension, Broad Street and the surrounding Johnstown City streets. Please be patient and plan accordingly for extended travel times. Delays could be as long as 15-20 minutes in one direction. The safety of our staff, subcontractors, suppliers’ community members and commuters always takes precedent over convenience. We appreciate your consideration as we work to make improvements to the infrastructure of Johnstown.
